IP ConfigurationManager Add New SCCM Computer WQL Query Exception

description

I just registered the SCORCHDev.ConfigurationManager.2012.oip.

I created a Task "Add New SCCM Computer" and provided the following information:
  • MAC-Address with follow format 00:80:41:ae:fd:7e
  • Computername
When I try to Run the Runbook in the Runbook Test i got the following error:
The SMS Provider reported an error.

Exception: WqlQueryException

The problem is I think that you must have the SMS00001 collection hardcoded in your "Add New SCCM Computer" activity.

I see the following in my SMSProv.log when I get the exception.

~~e:\qfe\nts\sms\siteserver\sdk_provider\smsprov\sspcollection.cpp(1030) : All Systems is an Built In collection and cannot be modified~~ SMS Provider 11.05.2013 13:42:48 8240 (0x2030)

When I use VBScript to do the same job, it works fine creating the computer object if you specify a differnet collection.

Would be great to know when/if a fix is available, as we are moving from SCCM2007 to SCCM2012 and will have to re-write a complex runbook if this doesn't work.

Thanks
Paul

Hey Paul,

I have this updated in the latest version of the 2012 interop binary. I will get a revision tested and released by the end of the week.

Hello Ryan,

I can't remember if you managed to upload a new version or not? The dates don't seem to match (May 13th for my last post, April 9th for the last update).

kind regards,
Paul

I am getting the same error as well. I was wondering if you were able to upload the new version.

Thank you for your help!

I am also getting the same error when running this IP. Is there a new version available that would address this?

Thanks!
John

As John and Jason, I also get the same error although the IP creates the SCCM object. it would be very nice if this would be fixed, I need these activities quite a lot ...

Thanks,
Bas
